Pigmentation Treatment in Hyderabad

Skin colour can be caused by a number of things inside or outside the body. Pigmentation problems are mostly caused by hormonal changes, sun exposure, the type of skin you have, trauma, and the natural ageing process. Epidermal sun damage is common in people with lighter skin tones, which can lead to pigmentation problems like sun spots, age spots, freckles, etc. On the other hand, trauma, side effects of medicines, and other hormonal factors can cause deeper pigmentation, or dermal pigmentation. Dermal pigmentation includes things like birthmarks, scars from acne, and melasma.

But pigmentation isn’t just on the face. It can also be found on the back of the hands, shoulders, neck, and bikini line. Pigmentation problems happen on all types and colors of skin.

Pigmentation Treatment in Hyderabad

Several methods can help get rid of different kinds of pigmentation.  These are the choices:

1. Laser treatment

Laser removal of skin spots is a great way to get out of trouble. It is a method that uses laser light, which absorbs the pigment in freckles or age spots without hurting the surrounding tissue. But the results may be different for each person. Depending on how bad the pigmentation is, the number of treatment sessions you need may also change. Most people need two to three treatment sessions to get rid of most of the pigmentation. During the laser pigmentation removal process, some people say they feel a slight stinging. Some redness may still be there right after the treatment, but it usually goes away in 2 to 4 hours.

The laser treatment for pigmentation can take between 30 to 45 minutes, but it may take longer for bigger areas. The place where the treatment is given may hurt a little, but the treatment itself is not painful. After the treatment, the skin may look red and swollen for the first 24 hours. For a few weeks, you shouldn't use perfumed makeup or skin products or let your skin get too much sun. When going outside, you must wear sunscreen with SPF30 or more.

The q-Switched ND YAG laser sends high-energy light to the area that needs it. This light kills skin cells that don't belong there. This makes it possible for the skin to start making new cells to replace the old ones. When the q switched mode is turned on, the laser makes two wavelengths. One wavelength goes to the target area, and the other wavelength goes to the skin lesions. This laser can get deep into the skin layers without hurting the top layer. It also helps collagen and other important proteins grow, which is important for healthy skin. But the treatment is quick and doesn't hurt. It can be done on all types of skin.

2. IPL

IPL, which stands for "Intense Pulsed Light," is another very effective way to treat many kinds of pigmentation. It is a non-invasive treatment that uses light to absorb the dark pigment melanin and the red blood cells (the red blood vessels). This light is turned into heat, which hurts the target cells without hurting the surface of the skin. But when the treatment is over, the pigmented areas usually get darker, and sometimes they even turn black. This usually goes away in 7 to 28 days, depending on where the treatment was done. The IPL treatment works best for people with light to olive skin. People with dark or very dark skin can't get this treatment.

Before the procedure starts, the patient's skin is cleaned and a cold gel is put on it to help make it more conductive. Cold air can be put right on the face to keep the skin cool while the treatment is going on. The therapist then puts the light beam on the skin and lets the strong light shine on the dark spot. At the end of the treatment, the skin is usually washed and covered with a cream that blocks UV light.

After an IPL procedure, the skin may be a little red, but this can be covered up with makeup. But after a few days, the treated area may look red or brown. This will go away after a few days. After that, your skin will be clear and bright. Patients are told that exposing their skin to the sun or other harsh things for a long time could cause their skin to darken over time.

3. Mesotherapy

The medicine is injected into the middle layer of skin with a very fine needle. This is a non-surgical treatment. Some of the things that are used to treat pigmentation are vitamins, enzymes, and glutathione. This procedure also helps rebuild collagen fibers, which helps the skin look younger.

4. Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are grouped by how well they work based on how deep they go into the skin. Peels can be light, medium, or deep, depending on how dark the skin is and what problems it has. Most dermatologists recommend 6 to 8 sessions, which can be done every 15 days or as directed by the doctor.

4.1 Superficial or Light Peels

These are peels made with alpha-hydroxy acids. They go all the way down to the top layer, which is called the stratum corneum. They are used to make mild skin look better, get rid of spots, and treat acne.
Peels used:
Salicylic acid -20-30%
Mandelic acid - 10-20%
Glycolic acid - 20-30%
Lactic acid

4.2 Medium Depth Peels

The medium depth peels go deep into the epidermis and reach the base layer. This treatment is used to help get rid of age spots, sun damage, and mild discoloration of the skin.
Peels used:
Pyruvic acid
Modified Jessner
Nomelan fenol

4.3 Deep Peels

This peel goes deep enough to reach the skin. They are used to deep-cleanse the skin and get rid of pigmentation that won't go away.
Peels used:
TCA – 30-50%
Glycolic – 70%

5. Microdermabrasion

The treatment is not too rough. It helps gently remove the top layer of damaged, tanned skin and improve:
Age Spots
Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
Eliminating large pores
To improve hyperpigmentation

6. Fractional CO2

Fractional CO2 lasers are used for non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment to improve texture, wrinkles, and blotchiness.
